Field Trips

Visit PEAR Park Wednesday 3/13/2019

PEAR ParkSign-up will be at the February meeting or contact Pam Powell 352 750 2420.  Meet at the parking area by the Nature Center if you are driving on your own at 9:30. Directions to PEAR Park.

Visit the Wildlife Watch Post area, then a quarter mile walk through the scrub restoration area to the Butterfly Pavilion. Next, walk to the shady River Trail to see plant species.  Return through a restoration area.

If you want to carpool we will meet at La Hacienda Recreation Center at 9 am.

Information for All Field Trips

Meet at La Hacienda Recreation Center to carpool. Each field trip will post a meeting place and time for members who are driving or carpooling on their own. Contact: Pam Powell 352 750 2420.

It is a good idea to have a hat, wear closed-toe shoes, and to bring water, a snack and bug repellent.

If there are any changes, further details will be posted above next to the trip description.

NOTE: A $5 donation is requested to hold your place and provide honorariums for guides. All field trips are limited to paid FNPS members. Seats are limited. Sign-up sheets will be available at our regular meeting on the 4th Friday of the month (Meeting Dates). FNPS membership forms and dues are accepted at the meeting or you can join online at
