Goal: 10 Members Convert Lawns into Native Plant Landscapes

Myrna laid clear plastic laid down in August and left it on for six weeks. The heat from this solarizing and killed not only the grass but weed seeds and pests. The grass was then easy to lift once the plastic was removed. A great planting bed was left for her new Florida native plants.

Myrna is converting her landscape to native plants. Myrna is the Membership Officer for The Villages Florida Native Plant Society. Creative Garden Structures in Weirsdate, Florida designed and installed her yard.
