Directions to La Hacienda
The park is about an hour and a half drive from La Hacienda.
Gold Head Park is one of the oldest state parks in Florida, built in the 1930s. Kevin Patton, the park manager will be leading the trip and he is a wealth of information on everything about the park, including the restoration of the longleaf pine which is taking place at the park. We are meeting him at the park at 2pm.
On the way to the park we will stop at Florida Cracker Kitchen in Keystone Heights for lunch. There is very little walking at the park so eating first will not be a problem.
